Each year, ACM SIGGRAPH bestows a small number of awards to members of the computer graphics community, in recognition of exceptional achievements in computer graphics and interactive techniques. Five of the these awards are given out annually, and one (the Steven Anson Coons Award for Outstanding Creative Contributions to Computer Graphics) is awarded every odd-numbered year.

With each passing year, more and more women consider careers in computing, a field in which women are traditionally underrepresented. The SIGGRAPH 2015 panel, "Women in Computer Graphics: Perspectives," drew a full house of conference attendees eager to hear about the opportunities and challenges facing women in CG -- and computing in general. The discussion was lively, with panelists and attendees sharing past experiences, information, and tips for flourishing in a male-dominated environment.
SIGGRAPH content is freely available in the ACM Digital Library for two weeks before the conference begins, until a week after its conclusion. After the four week "free look" period, SIGGRAPH content can still be accessed at no cost through special links found only on SIGGRAPH.org. Note that ACM SIGGRAPH members always have access to SIGGRAPH content and ACM SIGGRAPH-sponsored content in the ACM Digital Library.
