Courses

Do you have a creative idea or technological invention and feel that others would benefit from it? Are you an expert on a subject of fundamental importance or wide appeal?

High-quality courses, both theoretical and practical, will be a key part of the inaugural SIGGRAPH Asia 2008. We invite you to use this opportunity to share some of your expertise in an engaging way with a high-level international audience.

The Courses programme welcomes submissions that cover state-of-the-art techniques in computer graphics and interactive interfaces including (but not limited to) animation, computer-human interactivity, entertainment, gaming, scientific visualisation, and cool programming hackery. We also welcome reports on recent industrial advances and tutorials on skills and techniques for artists.

Courses will be offered during the first few days of SIGGRAPH Asia 2008, with the majority on the first day. Courses may be full-day (seven hours), typically with four speakers; half-day (3.5 hours), typically with two speakers; or tutorials (1.75 hours), typically with one speaker.

If you are a new contributor, this brief overview will help you understand the features of the SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 Courses programme. For detailed instructions on how to submit a course, see the Submission Rules and Requirements. You might also want to browse the list of Frequently Asked Questions. If you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us via the SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 email contact form.

We will be offering an exciting selection of courses conducted by talented people from Asia and around the world. Participate in the continuing development of this exciting frontier and become part of SIGGRAPH Asia 2008!
