A Vancouver ACM SIGGRAPH Event

Vancouver ACM SIGGRAPH is excited to announce a wonderful panel presentation on the VFX of Chappie on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.

In the near future, crime is patrolled by a mechanized police force. When one police droid, CHAPPiE, is stolen and given new programming, he becomes the first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. Come join us as a panel of leads and supervisors from Image Engine, representing each stage of production, from asset builds through to final compositing, give you a glimpse of what it took to breath life into the digital title character CHAPPiE.

Where: VIFF’s Vancity Theatre 1181 Seymour Street (@ Davie)

Doors: 6:00pm (for Industry Mixer 19+ Only)

Online sales are open until midnight on May 19, 2015, with any remaining seats available at the door.

Members- $10 (Login to purchase advance tickets or become a member now )

Public ticket sales will start on Monday, May 11, 2015 at noon.

Non-members – $20

Group – $15 (5 or more)

**There are no physical tickets to pick up. We have a list with the purchaser’s name at the ticket desk at the event. If the purchaser is not attending OR you have a group of people and want to have them enter on their own, please contact us with the names and purchaser information. Thanks!
