On Thursday, April 3, 2014, the New York City chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH will host the twelfth annual Industry Spotlight at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Midtown Manhattan. One of the chapter's most popular events, the Industry Spotlight provides NYC animation and post-production professionals an opportunity to learn more about the facilities that operate in the metropolitan area.
Representatives from top animation and post-production studios will be in attendance; companies participating in the event include Brainstorm Digital, Buck, Light of Day, The Mill, The Molecule, Mr. X Gotham, PSYOP, The STUDIO, th1ng, and UVPHACTORY. A speaker from each company will take the stage to provide an overview of their facility, highlighting past work and upcoming projects. At the end of the evening, attendees will be able to speak with the presenters and network with other attendees.
The NYC Industry Spotlight will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at FIT's Reeves Great Hall. Admission is free to NYC ACM SIGGRAPH members, as well as FIT faculty, students and staff. Non-members are welcome to attend: admission is $10.00 for professionals, $5.00 for students with valid ID.
