The ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee has just announced a call for submissions to the 2014 SpaceTime juried International Student Poster Competition and Online Exhibition. Held since 1992, the SpaceTime competition provides an opportunity for students interested in computer graphics to flex their creative muscles and potentially land a spot in the prestigious SpaceTime Exhibition and a ticket to SIGGRAPH 2014.

The competition is open to all primary, secondary and collegiate students currently attending school — including those enrolled in homeschooling programs. College and university submissions are handled separately from primary and secondary school submissions.

Selected works will be exhibited at the SIGGRAPH 2014 Education Committee Booth, posted on the ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee web site and printed in promotional materials. Three winners will receive Conference Access registration to the 2014 Conference in Vancouver, Canada (August 10-14, 2014), which does not include travel or lodging.

The theme for SpaceTime 2014 is “Naturally Digital” in keeping with the theme of 2014 conference. The committee is looking for posters that depict this idea. Originality is embraced, and generally gains high marks from the judges.

The Education Committee asks educators to encourage their students to enter.

The deadline for submissions to the SpaceTime competition is May 15, 2014. For more information on poster guidelines and submission requirements, visit the ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee's SpaceTime 2014 competition announcement.

Winning poster designs from previous competitions can be found in the SpaceTime Competition Online Gallery.
