Student Volunteers
Imagine having the opportunity to work behind the scenes as an integral part of the first SIGGRAPH conference in Asia. This invaluable experience will give you the opportunity to meet and learn directly from industry professionals, artists, and teachers while assisting conference attendees and supporting conference programmes and events. As a Student Volunteer, you have admission to most programmes, receptions, and many special Student Volunteer events in your free time.
All of this is available to high school, vocational, polytechnic, undergraduate, and graduate students who are enrolled full time for at least one semester during the 2008-2009 academic year and are at least 18 years of age. Students can apply to work either 18 or 30 hours (approximately) during the conference. Volunteers from outside Singapore who are willing to work at least 30 hours may also receive complimentary housing in Singapore for the duration of the conference. In addition, all applicants are eligible to apply for Travel Assistance Awards, which offer financial help for travel to and from the conference.
